Our web department is growing!

Holy Cow is looking for a full-time web developer to lead the development & execution of our digital projects.

A special someone with understanding of the latest and greatest web tools, who is excited to work in a collaborative studio and inspired to take a great design and effectively translate it pixel-perfectly into a dynamic web experience.

Our ideal candidate would have the following skills: 

  • expertise in coding standards for HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), Jquery, PHP5
  • demonstrated knowledge of responsive/adaptive web development
  • a solid knowledge of WordPress 3.6.x development & theming standards with the ability to customize as needed (Drupal 7 knowledge is a plus but secondary)
  • experience with social media APIs, in particular Facebook and Twitter
  • understanding and use of GIT versioning control system (GIThub, Bitbucket)
  • well-versed in current SEO practices, implementation and rationale
  • solid experience with web server hosting admin (transferral of hosts, MySQL database setup, MX records, DNS setup, SSL, SSH)
  • experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
  • comfortable with the Mac OS (software: Coda, Transmit, Codekit)
  • the ability to provide detailed hourly estimates on website projects, including information architecture and dated milestones 
  • the ability to successfully translate written functional requirements and creative design from other sources into completed work
  • a good eye for design
  • at least 3+ years in web development
  • must enjoy working in a collaborative environment
