New Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes into effect July 1, 2014

Canada's new Anti-Spam Legislation has been designed to protect consumers from unsolicited electronic marketing messages. This legislation is relevant for any client who currently has a database of electronic mailing addresses and who is intending to collect contact information for future electronic marketing purposes.

The new rules do not prohibit sending electronic marketing messages, but they require you to:

1)    obtain consent

2)    provide identification information

3)    provide an ‘unsubscribe’ mechanism

Holy Cow is able to assist you with interpreting these new rules to ensure your business is compliant. Please contact us prior to June 30 to see how your business may be affected.
