Despite being in Canada, Victoria, BC doesn't actually get any snow. Aside from a freak snowstorm in 1996, it almost never drops below freezing point on a thermometer. That means, winter activities like building snowmen, tobogganing, and ice skating outdoors aren't common occurrences in the city. That's why we worked with Mayfair to create Skate Under the Stars. The promotion ran from January through February, where Mayfair placed an outdoor skating rink in their rooftop parking lot! The "ice" was a special plastic that when polished, could be skated on just like a traditional rink.
Along with traditional advertising, Holy Cow designed mittens with the Skate Under the Stars promo details printed right onto them. The mittens were handed out through out the city and helped to build up the event.
